Elections, is it time again?

Elections time! It's time to vote for the one you think will make your life a lot easier! I'm not talking about Singapore's elctions, if you've been following the news, you'll know that I'm talking about the Presidential race for the upcoming American elections next year. Frankly, as a Singaporean, I didn't even pay as much attention to my own country's elections, but this American elections is one that I'm keeping an eye out for. You must be wondering why? It's because for the first time in American history, a woman, namely Hilary Clinton, is running for the Presidential seat in the White House. Another first for American politics, would be Barack Obama, who is an African-American who is also running for President. Current President Bush is also getting his speech-writers to compose the most perfect speech to get the voters to vote for him. Besides the 3 of them, there are other candidates also, but they aren't as high-profile as Clinton, Barack or Bush. You must be wondering what's the American Presidential elections got to do with you if you're outside of the States? Well, I think that this will be most interesting race ever, not only because there are so many firsts, but also because this elections is coming at a time where things have changed rather dramatically with the US (Iraq, Iran, North Korea, the rapid rise of China as a superpower, etc). So, this race is one that you should be watching out for, it's going to be really interesting. Let the battle begin.
